Some Reasons for Removing the AZD YouTube Channel

Hello, again. I’m sure a number of you have already realized that I had completely removed my entire YouTube channel. I wanna reassure my readers & supporters that I am NOT giving up on my dreams as a writer! It was an intentional move on my end. While I don’t think it’s right to go into absolutely everything, I would like to publicly list a few reasons below.

A Few Reasons For Why I Removed My YouTube Channel

  • I was using a Voice Cloning website, to dub my comic books. There aren’t very many government regulations yet, to keep those voices from being exploited for criminal purposes. I thought since I was using the website for creative purposes, it wasn’t wrong for me to use it. However, I am now concerned that cyber-criminals will exploit the data that gets uploaded onto the website. I would like to be more educated about internet safety, before I look into using internet tools like that.
  • I would like to rebrand and relaunch my whole “AlexZenDraw Comics” brand in general. I’m even considering narrowing my focus on moving forward with Space Grind, instead of having my focus be so divided between all my other projects. I’ve spent 7+ years working hard on my vision for Space Grind. The closer I get to figuring out my heart behind it, the more I realize I still have A LOT to learn! Not just with the storytelling aspect, but also the digital marketing and business aspects of it.
  • I’ve been going through a ton of unresolved grief on my end. The aftermath of my gallstone surgery was VERY rough on my body and on my mind. I was in so much pain, I was seriously reevaluating my entire life. I was even wondering whether or not my heart was in the right place, regarding my creative content. I think of the Bible verse Matthew 16:26, which says, “And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?” Part of my decision to delete the YouTube channel, was to figure out who I am in the eyes of God, apart from my accomplishments.

I guess to sum it all up, I would like to be more intentional about how I present Space Grind to the world! I also plan to write a new blog post in the future, about certain changes I’d like to announce, regarding its plotline. Even with my two self-published comic books, there are integral changes that I plan to make, that would make even former plot points irrelevant.

I am looking forward to advancing as an artist, with God’s grace. I ultimately consider Jesus the CEO of my content. I want to be sure that He approves of what I make. If God doesn’t like it, nothing else matters.

I believe deep down that Space Grind will speak to the hearts of many, in God’s good timing. However, before that can happen, I need to allow Jesus to heal MY broken heart. If any of you readers are believers, please pray! You can also financially support me, by either donating (https://alexzendraw.wordpress.com/donate/), or purchasing a comic book on the Amazon website (https://alexzendraw.wordpress.com/buy-comics/)

As usual, here is NEW artwork, to show that I’m still actively working on my vision:

A sketch of one of the contestants, whose name is Yondurah! NGL Part of the inspiration behind her new design is “Lady Dimitrescu” from the Resident Evil video game series. A digital version of this is almost done, too. 🙂

I am a self-taught comic book artist/writer. I have written two comic books so far, to present just a snippet of what goes on in my brain. I love my characters in Space Grind dearly, even though they go through some chaotic stuff... While not all of the lore is set in stone, please check out my self-published comics 'Space Grind: House Havoc' & 'Space Grind: Robot Takeover!' on Amazon.com
